Free Photo Magnets – And Other Freebies

Free photo magnets are not terribly difficult to find on the internet. Many companies offer one measly magnet, or maybe two if you are lucky. Others require that you buy other products and “then” they throw in the free photo magnet. Still others market them as free, but when you order them you find out that they sneak in an outrageous shipping and handling fee. You must balance the cost against the quality and quantity of the product. Shipping and handling isn’t uncommon for “free” products, but it should be reasonable and the business should inform you of the existence of S&H fees right up front. Don’t let them surprise you at “check out.”

Why Give Away Free Samples?

Usually the free offer is designed to get the product into the hands of potential consumers so they can discover the quality and utilitarian aspect it has. That, too, isn’t uncommon. In fact, it is a widely recognized marketing strategy used by thousands of companies. Have you ever been in a grocery store where they are giving away samples of food? How about a street fair where businesses give away their products? Television and radio ads give away free samples of things like vitamins. Magazines are noted as sources for free home cleaning products and cosmetics. All of the free sample campaigns are designed to prove to the consumer that their product has the quality and value that they are looking for.

Shipping and Handling Charges.

Don’t be afraid to spend a few bucks on a “free” sample of something. It is in the company’s best interest to provide a quality product that has true value in a case like that. If they send a cheap or shoddy product they will risk losing a customer instead of gaining one. Even if you pay shipping and handling you will surely be getting a great deal.

Back to Photo Magnets.

Photo magnets are becoming a popular product throughout the United States. People are designing them with pictures of their family, their pets, cars, truck, motorcycles, vacations, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, and the list goes on. I have seen refrigerators that are nearly covered with magnets with photos of grandchildren. With a good online design tool you can upload any picture or graphic you want for a customized magnet. Some people create business magnets which advertise their products or services, and then hand them out to everyone they see. It is tremendous advertising. Stick one of them on a refrigerator and they stay there for years.

Not Just For Photos.

If you get the whim, you can design a humorous photo magnet, too. Cartoon characters or silly pictures make for great fun. Your club or organization can also benefit by creating magnets that inform of upcoming events, their website address, or anything you want to put on it.

The bottom line is to find a supplier who offers quality products. The best way I know is to get a free sample. Hold it. Feel it. Check out the construction and materials. Even if you pay a shipping and handling charge, it is probably cheaper than driving all over town to find a business that will do it for you. You should also insist on being able to design the photo magnet yourself, ideally with an online design tool.

Do your research. Check out the products and get started.
