Don’t Be Fooled by Free Sample Hype

Don’t be fooled by all the hype you read online about getting free samples from all the hundreds of freebie sites online. Why is it, do you think, that these sites offer free samples free of charge? I mean it’s pretty obvious why the manufacturer does, to boost their product’s sales and peak customer interest but why would a third party site promote another companies freebies?

I’ll let you in on a little secret, most of the so called free samples that freebie sites promote are in fact advertisements or affiliate links. Affiliate links are links to a site that pays you whenever the visitor signs up for one of their programs. So if the affiliate site asks for your information, it is usually to sell your personal info or try and sell you something.

This doesn’t mean that every single freebie site online is out to rip you off. I’m sure there are plenty of legitimate free sample sites out there. The only problem is for every few genuine free sample site, there are a ton of spam sites.

This brings me to my point, the only sure fire way to get free product samples, is directly from the manufacturer. Not on their website, not on a third party site but to write them directly. Find out the addresses of your favorite manufacturers and write them a letter requesting free samples or coupons. You will be amazed at how many times this tactic will work out in your benefit.
